Job Description

Solutions Engineer (Product Expert) (On-site)

Location: On-site (4-5 days/week in-office - New York, NY or San Francisco, CA)

Salary: $150K–$200K + competitive equity

Sponsorship: open to visa transfers (OPT, H1B)

We're hiring a Solutions Engineer (Product Expert) at a well-funded, high-growth company building AI-driven automation for the housing industry. You'll be the go-to technical expert for a specific product area post-implementation, the bridge between customers, customer success managers, and engineering, owning deep product knowledge and getting pulled in whenever a customer needs real technical depth.

This is a post-sales technical role, not a pre-sales one. You'll work with live customer data and API integrations to diagnose issues, serve as the escalation point when code-level fixes are needed, and feed insights back to engineering and product to keep the platform improving.

The problem you'd help solve:

Housing operators run on manual, disconnected processes for things like leasing, maintenance, and resident communication. This team automates those workflows with AI, and once a customer is live, someone needs to own the technical relationship, diagnosing data and integration issues, triaging escalations, and translating between non-technical stakeholders and engineering. That's this role.

You'll own a specific product vertical end-to-end from a technical standpoint, dive into customer data and API integrations to identify and resolve issues, and support onboarding and migration work as new product lines roll out.

You'll likely be a fit if you have:

  • 3-7 years of experience in a Solutions Engineer or similar post-sales technical role at a SaaS company
  • Strong post-sales experience specifically, this isn't a fit for purely pre-sales backgrounds
  • A technical background (CS, engineering, or equivalent), comfortable working at the data and API layer
  • Customer-facing experience, able to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • Startup experience, comfort in a fast-moving, build-it-yourself environment

What you won't find here: This role won't suit you if you want to stay purely pre-sales, or if you'd rather hand off technical escalations than own them. You'll be expected to navigate the codebase and know when to escalate, not just when to explain it.
