Collaborate with data teams, stakeholders, and external partners to deliver data-driven insights for decision-making
Document BI projects, systems, and processes to ensure compliance with data governance and privacy standards
Stay updated on emerging BI technologies and contribute to initiatives enhancing data quality and efficiency

About The Opportunity

As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will play a key role in developing, supporting and enhancing Business Intelligence applications, dashboards and reports across CCLHD. Working closely with technical, business and data stakeholders, you will help deliver reliable, high-quality solutions that meet business needs while aligning with organisational standards, data governance and privacy requirements.


Role

This position plays an important role in supporting informed decision-making and continuous improvement across the District. In this role you will:

  • Analyse, design and develop Business Intelligence solutions across database, semantic and reporting layers, including applications, dashboards and reports.
  • Apply your technical expertise across the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack, including SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and Power BI.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation for Business Intelligence projects, systems, processes and policies.
  • Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, maintaining existing solutions and contributing to improvement initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with Data Solution & Project team, Performance & Analytics, ICT, data providers and external stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and contribute to initiatives that improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of Business Intelligence services.
  • Manage competing priorities and deliver multiple complex tasks within time-critical environments while maintaining a strong focus on quality and service.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, formal technical training in Business Intelligence or a related discipline, together with demonstrated experience as a Business Intelligence Developer. Experience working within the health sector, particularly in a NSW Health or public health environment, will be strongly considered.
  • Strong technical expertise and practical experience across the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack, including SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and Power BI.
  • A strong understanding of Business Intelligence, data warehousing, dimensional modelling and data visualisation techniques.
  • Highly developed planning, time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team while also working autonomously to achieve required outcomes.
