Position Summary
MadCap Software is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to shape how we position, launch, and bring our products to market. This role will work across our portfolio; including MadCap Flare, IXIA CCMS, Create, and Syndicate, to translate complex product capabilities into clear, differentiated customer value.
Working closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success and Marketing, you’ll help define how MadCap tells its product and portfolio story and ensure our go-to-market teams have the messaging, insights, and tools they need to drive pipeline, adoption, and growth.
Responsibilities
- Positioning & Messaging. Own positioning, messaging, value propositions, personas, and key use cases across MadCap’s portfolio and our two core buyer markets (Technical Documentation and L&D) including the C-level narrative. Build a cohesive portfolio story across content creation, management, governance, and delivery, grounded in customer and competitive research.
- Product Launch & GTM. Own the GTM calendar and cross-functional launch process for new products, features, AI capabilities, and major releases. Partner closely with Product on roadmaps and launch timing so Product, Marketing, Sales, and CS tell one consistent story, and we market capabilities when they’re ready.
- Sales & CS Enablement. Equip the field with the tools and knowledge they need to win, including battlecards, one-pagers, discovery decks, use cases, presentations, TCO tools, and training. Drive awareness and adoption of existing assets so teams know what’s available and how to use it.
- Competitive & Market Intelligence. Own ongoing competitive intelligence across technical documentation, CCMS, learning content, knowledge delivery, and AI. Keep competitive positioning current, understand where we win and lose, and give the field practical guidance they can use in customer conversations.
- Customer & Buyer Insights. Bring the voice of the customer into positioning and GTM strategy through customer, prospect, field, and market research. Track how AI is changing our buyers, competitors, use cases, and markets and evolve our positioning accordingly.
- Campaign & Content Partnership. Partner with Demand Generation and Content to translate product strategy and buyer insights into campaigns, webinars, events, website messaging, customer stories, and thought leadership.
- Measurement & Optimization. Measure the effectiveness of launches, messaging, and enablement through asset adoption, field feedback, competitive win/loss, pipeline influence, and other relevant metrics, and use those insights to continuously improve the GTM playbook.
