About the job
This role is being recruited by CoffeeSpace on behalf of an anonymous company building the agentic operations layer for P&C insurance.
We’re identifying a small number of exceptional backend engineers from our network. If there’s a strong fit, we’ll introduce you directly to the founding team.
Location: San Francisco, California, United States
Compensation: $180K - $260K base + 0.2 - 0.4% equity
Employment type: Full-time
Visa: Visa sponsorship available for H1B Transfers and TN. No new H1B Transfers.

About the role
As a Senior/Staff Backend Engineer, you will play a foundational role in designing and implementing end-to-end workflows for insurance agencies. This involves integrating with low-tech systems and building reliable automation on top of them. You will work directly with customers to gather feedback and iterate on projects.
What You’ll Do
- Design and ship end-to-end agentic workflows that automate insurance agency operations such as collections, renewals, and carrier integrations.
- Integrate with disparate systems, ensuring reliable and high-quality interactions.
- Work closely with customers to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to greenfield engineering projects, building on the existing browser automation layer.
- Collaborate with the team in whiteboarding and system design to solve complex problems.
